Sark is an island in the Channel Islands archipelago within the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is only 3.5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide but it boasts 40 miles of breath taking beauty.
Sark lies 7 miles (11 km) east of Guernsey and about 25 miles (40 km) west of the Cherbourg Peninsula of France. Sark consists of two components, Great Sark and Little Sark, which are connected by La Coupé, a 300-foot long isthmus of only about 9 foot wide, (3 mtrs).
Access year-round is by boat with Sark Shipping traveling from Guernsey. In the summer, Manche Iles Express also run from Jersey and France.
